Continental and United Airlines are offering its frequent flyer members who have attained elite status; flight upgrades which equate to significant savings.

This offer is subject to availability of space at any given time; however there are no limits placed on the number of domestic upgrades that can be requested per elite member.

Whilst both airlines are offering this to their respective loyal frequent flyer elite members, United’s elite members can also benefit from upgrades on Continental Airlines and Continental’s elite members can benefit from upgrades on United Airlines.

United Airlines’ Mileage Plus members can now earn extra bonus miles when flying to and from the United States.

United Mileage Plus members booking before 15 December 2009 and traveling by 31 December 2009 will be rewarded with extra bonus miles and quicker access to special offers.

Mileage Plus members can earn an additional 1,000 bonus miles through online booking at the company’s website. In addition, passengers who have not purchased a ticket through the United website since 14 August 2008 can now earn an additional 500 bonus miles simply by booking flights through one of United’s worldwide websites now through 31 October 2009.

Bonus miles earned will be accredited to members’ Mileage Plus accounts six to eight weeks after completing the qualifying travel. Other terms and conditions apply.
