Customers’ good opinion is so important in every industry these days. You only have to a quick look on customer review sites to see just how the internet is empowering customers and helping them to give valuable feedback to other consumers about who are the best companies to use.
This power has been harnessed by the travel service website Holiday Extras. They have taken this feverish need of their customers to give their opinions about the products they buy and the companies they use and they have invited their customers to vote for the best in the travel industry in the Holiday Extras Customer Awards.
The awards are now in their third year and each year more and more people become involved in the voting process. This year 66,000 people voted which is almost triple the number of votes that were cast last year.
More and more categories are being added each year too. This year two new categories were added and these were for the most inspirational travel film (Shirley Valentine) and the best travel guide publisher (the Lonely Planet guides).
