Zest Airways, Inc. (Zest Air) is set to fly the Manila-San Fernando, La Union route starting August 6, 2010, according to the Bases Conversation and Development Authority (BCDA) President General Narciso Abaya.
Abaya said the entry of Zest Air to serve the Province of La Union is expected to sustain investors’ confidence in the entire region and enhance the attractiveness of Poro Point Freeport Zone as an investment site in particular.
For his part, Poro Point Management Corporation (PPMC) President and CEO Atty. Felix S. Racadio said the entry of Zest Air is an indication of the viability of the City of San Fernando and the Province of La Union as a tourist haven.
“With Zest Air, Poro Point can again be accessed not only by land and sea but also by air via the San Fernando Airport, making the Freeport more attractive to investors and tourist alike,” Racadio added.
