Thai AirAsia offers flight promotions

Thai AirAsia launched a super discounted flight promotion for the post-flood period in order to boost the Thai tourism industry and as a New Year’s gift for passengers.

Chief Executive Tassapon Bijleveld said the campaign called “Awesome Sale!” offers ticket prices starting at Bt100/flight until Dec. 11, with actual travel from July 1-Oct. 27 next year.

Net prices for domestic and international routes will be from Bt214-2,200/flight including taxes and other fees.

Destinations from and to Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi include Trang, Krabi, Surat Thani, Hat Yai, New Delhi, Shenzhen, Kolkata, Hanoi, and Phnom Penh.

AirAsia to Launch International Big Sale Promotion

AirAsia is set to launch a promotion with seats from as low as 10 sen on all domestic and selected international destinations.

The booking period is from 1200hrs (GMT +8) on Monday, 23 May until 2359hrs (GMT +8) on Sunday, 29 May 2011 for travel between 6 February and 20 June 2012. Terms and conditions apply.

Some of the international destinations offered in this Big Sale include Mumbai, Tokyo (Haneda), Jakarta, Medan, Bangkok, Phuket, Singapore and many others.

AirAsia Picks Clark as Hub

AirAsia Incorporated, the Philippine-based affiliate of the AirAsia Group, has chosen Clark as its hub in the country.

The airline, which announced its set up last December, will be basing its operations at Clark’s Diosdado Macapagal International Airport. The airline plans to start operating international flights from the airport in the fourth quarter of this year.

“Our choice of Clark underlines the airline’s commitment to developing transportation and tourism hubs outside Manila. This is part of our plan to contribute to the development of the country as a whole. AirAsia, Inc. is excited to start contributing to the economy of Clark and the rest of the country by boosting tourism and offering job opportunities to Filipinos,” said Marianne B. Hontiveros, chief executive of AirAsia, Inc.

Clark is located just north of Manila and is easily accessible to 23 million people from the National Capital Region and Central and Northern Luzon. AirAsia Launches 2011 Big Sale Promotion

AirAsia today launches a promotion offering special fares on 1 million seats to various domestic and international destinations.

Fares starts from as low as RM5 to various destinations throughout the airline’s route network. Bookings must be made by 27 February 2011 for travel between 13 September 2011 and 29 February 2012.

AirAsia X has launched an X-traordinary promotion with special fares to all its destinations (excluding Korea).

Special fares are available to London (Stansted), Taiwan (Taipei), China (Tianjin, Hangzhou, and Chengdu), Australia (Gold Coast, Melbourne, Perth) and India (Mumbai, Delhi).

This promotion will be available for 3 days only for online bookings from 17 – 19 August 2010 for travel from 1 April to 11 August 2011.

AirAsia X is also offering deals to exotic India (Mumbai, New Delhi) from Kuala Lumpur and with travellers only having to pay the airport tax with an all-in fare from as low as RM25 one way.

AirAsia X offers Kuala Lumpur – Seoul Promotional Fares from RM99

AirAsia X will soon offer daily flights between Kuala Lumpur and Incheon International Airport, Seoul on 1 November, 2010.

To mark the opening for sale of the new route, AirAsia X is offering a promotional all-in fare from as low as RM99 (Base fare: RM74 + Airport tax: RM25) from Kuala Lumpur to Seoul for the booking period from 4 to 8 August 2010 for travel between 1 November 2010 and 11 August 2011.

Travellers flying on this new route will have the chance to experience the new ‘Premium FlatBed seats’ on the brand new A330 aircraft. The flatbed seats are standard business class specifications of 20” width, 60” pitch and stretch out to 77” in full recline position. The seats feature universal power sockets, adjustable headrests and built-in personal utilities such as tray table, drink holder, reading light and privacy screen.

AirAsia has launched a ‘Just for Two’ promotion

Travellers can book fares from as low as RM50 for two guests on domestic flights and from RM100 for international flights from 19 – 25 July 2010 for travel between 2 August and 15 November 2010.

Some exciting destinations included in the ‘Just for Two’ deals are Kuala Lumpur to Miri, Hatyai and Kota Kinabalu to Penang from RM100 for two. Kuala Lumpur to Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh City and Yangon from RM150, and Kuala Lumpur to Colombo, Kolkata and Penang to Chennai from RM250. Also included is the Kota Kinabalu to Taipei route from RM350 for two.

Along with the Just for Two deals, AirAsia is also having an Early Bird Promo, for next year’s travel period of 14 February 2011 to 8 May 2011. Travellers can book the Early Bird Promo from 19 – 25 July 2010 as well.

AirAsia offers A$65 one-way from Kuala Lumpur to India

AirAsia is giving travellers the chance to explore India from as little as A$65 one-way from Kuala Lumpur as part of its latest promotion.

The booking period runs until 30 June 2010 for travel between 1 July and 24 September 2010.

From Kuala Lumpur, guests will be able to fly to Bangalore, Trivandrum, Kochi, Kolkata and Tiruchirappalli from just A$65 one-way.

The Kuala Lumpur to New Delhi and Mumbai routes are also on sale from A$77 one-way.

AirAsia offers Kuala Lumpur – Myanmar Promotional Fares

AirAsia is to launch direct daily flights to the beautiful city of Yangon in Myanmar. The new route will commence services from 20 July 2010.

To celebrate the introduction of this new route, AirAsia is offering all-in-fares between Kuala Lumpur and Yangon from as low as RM29 (US$10) one way. Booking starts from today, 14 June 2010 until 20 June 2010, for travel between 20 July 2010 and 8 May 2011. Promotional seats are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. AirAsia’s foray into South East Asia’s largest country, Myanmar, from its Kuala Lumpur hub completes the ten countries under the ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) network. AirAsia already flies to Yangon from its Bangkok hub with daily flights.

AirAsia is offering 10,000 tax only fares from its international destinations to Bangkok

AirAsia is offering 10,000 tax only fares from its international destinations to Bangkok from 28 May to 1 June, 2010 for travel between 7 June and 31 August, 2010.

The low cost airline through its travel holiday division AirAsiaGo is also offering guests traveling into Bangkok free night offers (stay, pay promo) for hotel stays in Bangkok including free transfers and free half day city tours.

The international destinations included in this special five-day promo are Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur, Penang), Myanmar (Rangoon), Cambodia (Phnom Penh), Singapore, Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi), China (Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Macau, Hong Kong), Taiwan (Taipei) and Indonesia (Bali, Jakarta).

AirAsia is offering up to 1 million FREE SEATS on flights across its extensive network of over 130 routes across 20 countries.

The booking period for the Free Seat promotion is from 18 – 23 May 2010 for travel between 3 January and 8 May 2011. Promotional seats are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Air Asia launches Advance Online Booking for Supersize Baggage

Good News for Air Asia passengers : Travellers on AirAsia can now enjoy savings of up to 50% when they take advantage of the airline’s online ‘Pre-booked Baggage Supersize’ fees.

AirAsia Head of Ancillary Income, Rafizah Amran said, “Last year, 660,000 people paid RM91 million for excess baggage. At the end of their trip, guests are often faced with problems of having baggage with excessive weight and exorbitant baggage fees, which is not a very happy ending to the journey.

By utilizing our ‘Supersize’ baggage option online, guests can enjoy great savings up to 50% compared to paying excess baggage fees at the counter.”

AirAsia’s 20kg ‘Supersize’ option is offered at RM30 online. For non-‘Supersize’, a baggage of 20kg (15kg allowance + 5kg excess) will incur the cost of RM30 for the first 15kg and up to RM20 for each subsequent kg at the counter.

The result, a whopping total of RM130 at the counter compared to a mere RM30 online pre-book for the same baggage weight of 20kg.
