Realizing that some people travel by air only because they can conveniently and safely transport a lot of luggage with less effort, and without hiring a coolie, now many budget carriers are offering two different tickets on the same route, one a lite ticket for only 7 kg of hand baggage, and a normal ticket which is priced at Rs 200 more than the lite ticket.
Most airlines were earlier allowing 25 kg check in baggage, realizing that the check in luggage added to the handling and fuel expenses, the airlines are now charging more for travellers who have a lot of luggage
