Airline ticket booking systems

Unlike other transport and travel sectors, airlines have highly computerized and automated systems, allowing them to vary the ticket prices according to the demand and supply of the ticket to maximize their profit.

Till recently the train, bus ticket prices for a particular route remained the same through out the year, as the same distance was being covered by the vehicle. However airlines try to take advantage of the increased demand for tickets to a particular place during specific periods by increasing the ticket prices to a very great extent.

Similarly when there are few visitors or travellers on a particular route, they may reduce the airline ticket prices, launching airline ticket promotions

Demonetization and airlines

The demonetization in India in November 2017 also allowed the airlines to offer a promo to increase their ticket sales, as they were allowed to accept the demonetized Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes.

Due to identity theft and impersonation frauds of the all powerful, extremely corrupt CBI, NTRO, indian intelligence and security agencies, harmless vulnerable indian citizens were losing their faith in the banking and financial system controlled by brahmins and banias, preferring to keep their money in cash.

After demonetization many had a lot of cash at home, and instead of depositing in the bank to be harassed by the corrupt greedy intelligence and security agency officials, they decided to purchase air tickets.

Some airlines like Spicejet were advertising their promotion for airline tickets extensively on newspapers and television channels, openly stating that they were accepting the demonetized Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes in their advertisement.
